There was a bricked up coal cellar in our close - you could tell by the presence of two ventilation bricks, through which you could just see the far wall inside, in the gloom.
Jamie and I took the bricks out, I put in a new door frame (the lintel was still in place, luckily) and made shelves inside. Janice had a light put in.
